Translation
Instant translation
SchoolMessenger CommSuite includes real-time, advanced translation from English to 30+ languages. Simply type your message in English, and have it automatically delivered to each recipient in his or her preferred language (includes up to 14 languages for phone delivery, and more than 30 languages for email delivery).
Quality assurance is built in
CommSuite allows you to preview your messages before sending and to reverse the translation to get a sense of how your recipients may receive your message. If you are not satisfied with the results, you can override the translation with on-the-fly edits.
Increased reach with multiple contact types
SchoolMessenger can easily send voice, text, and e-mail message s to reach virtually any device including mobile phones, landline phones, Cisco IP phones, pagers, PDAs, Blackberries, e-mail and more. Supported plans don't limit the number of contact points you can have for each student.
SMS Text messaging
Authorized users simply log in to the secure website, select their list and type a brief message. SchoolMessenger delivers the message to any text-capable phone.
Because SchoolMessenger uses true SMS rather than a simple email-to-text-message, users realize superior performance, speed, assurance of delivery, and consistency. Email travels through multiple servers on its path to its final destination. Each stop along the way adds latency times and increases the number of opportunities for error. SchoolMessenger SMS messages go from the CommSuite hosted service directly to the mobile user's carrier, greatly diminishing the chance of latency or error.
Interactive messages and complete survey module
SchoolMessenger includes numerous interactive features including "Push '*' to repeat message," capturing recipient responses through touch-tones and/or voice response.
SchoolMessenger even enables authorized district and school administrators to "poll" their message recipients to learn the community's views on certain topics. Recipients simply enter a numeric touchtone on their phone to respond to the district's survey. In addition, the district can choose to supplement a phone-based survey with a survey delivered through the web, giving recipients the choice to respond on their own schedule, in the manner that works best for them. SchoolMessenger will make sure that only one response will be counted.
Unlimited Questions, Optional Randomizer
As an example of this module's sophistication, our surveys can accommodate an unlimited number of questions. Similarly, our service enables you to randomize survey questions, so that an equal number of people are likely to answer each question, despite the normal tendency of some respondents to give up after a couple of questions . Randomization is a feature that is unique to SchoolMessenger and one that has been proven to improve a survey's statistical accuracy.
Administrative Control
Like many features in SchoolMessenger, the survey module is configurable by role, so the district administrator can choose who has rights to send a survey message. Users who are authorized to send survey messages simply key in their questions or record voice prompts for their questions, adjust a few options, select their list, and send. Numerous reports are then available during and after the survey.
