In August 2016, the FCC took action to clarify what K-12 schools and districts should be doing to stay in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). Among other things, the FCC has reiterated the importance of continuing to honor opt-outs from parents and halt calls to reassigned numbers, while offering greater clarification on what types of calls are allowed.
